Overview
The Enterprise Architect leads the strategic architecture, modernization, and governance of enterprise applications, integrations, and data platforms across VNS Health. The role is responsible for advancing enterprise architecture capabilities that support healthcare payer and provider operations, with a focus on vendor application portfolio management, enterprise integration strategy, cloud modernization, and data architecture.
The Enterprise Architect partners with business leaders, technology teams, vendors, and operational stakeholders to ensure enterprise solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with organizational strategy. The role provides architectural leadership across cloud platforms, software-as-a-service ecosystems, data architecture, application programming interfaces, and enterprise integration patterns, with emphasis on AWS, Snowflake, Salesforce, and healthcare interoperability technologies. Working under general direction, the Enterprise Architect serves as a technical leader and trusted advisor across the organization.

What You Will Do
- Enterprise Architecture Strategy: Defines and maintains enterprise architecture standards, principles, and technology roadmaps supporting healthcare payer and provider operations.
- Develop Target‑State Architectures: Supports digital transformation, cloud modernization, interoperability, analytics, and operational efficiency.
- Align Technology Investments: With business strategy, regulatory requirements, and enterprise scalability objectives.
- Establish Architecture Governance: Processes and participates in architecture review activities.
- Vendor Application Portfolio Management: Leads architecture oversight for enterprise vendor platforms and SaaS ecosystems; evaluates, rationalizes, and optimizes application portfolios; partners with business and procurement teams on vendor selection, product evaluations, and technology assessments; defines integration strategies across third‑party healthcare platforms; ensures vendor solutions align with security, compliance, scalability, and interoperability requirements.
- Cloud Architecture & Modernization: Leads cloud‑first initiatives across AWS, Snowflake, Salesforce Health Cloud, Salesforce Service Cloud, and other cloud‑native platforms; designs scalable hybrid and multi‑cloud architectures; defines enterprise patterns for API management, event‑driven architecture, microservices, serverless computing, cloud security, and data governance; guides migration of legacy applications and data platforms to modern cloud‑based architectures.
- Enterprise Integration & Interoperability: Defines integration strategies across payer, provider, and vendor ecosystems; architects APIs and interoperability solutions using HL7, FHIR, X12/EDI, REST APIs, and event‑streaming technologies; supports integration of EHR, care management platforms, CRM systems, ERP, claims platforms, and member engagement platforms; establishes reusable integration patterns and API governance frameworks.
- AI Enablement & Digital Innovation: Leads enterprise AI strategy and architecture initiatives; designs scalable AI and machine learning platforms with AWS AI, Snowflake Cortex, Salesforce Einstein, and other cloud‑native AI technologies; defines patterns for responsible AI adoption, governance, model lifecycle management, and security; supports secure integration of large language models and AI copilots.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Serves as trusted advisor to leadership, stakeholders, and technology teams; mentors solution architects, engineers, and technical leads; facilitates cross‑functional architecture planning and decision‑making; leads development and maintenance of enterprise architecture documentation and governance artifacts; participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, a related discipline, or equivalent experience required; Master’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Work Experience: Minimum of eight years in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or technology leadership; minimum of three years supporting healthcare payer and/or provider organizations; deep expertise with AWS, Snowflake, Salesforce, enterprise integrations, and SaaS; strong knowledge of healthcare domains; strong understanding of HL7, FHIR, X12/EDI; experience with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial, or value‑based care preferred; familiarity with AI/ML healthcare platforms preferred; experience with MuleSoft, Informatica, Databricks, Kafka, Kubernetes, Terraform, or API gateway platforms preferred.
Pay Range
USD $122,300.00 - USD $164,000.00 /Yr.
