Committed to innovation, integrity, and teamwork, we enhance the sustainability and resilience of the communities we serve.As a Civil/Environmental Engineer, you will play a vital role in planning and designing essential water, wastewater, and recycled water systems across the Intermountain West. Your work will help build stronger, more sustainable communities—ensuring reliable access to clean water and improved environmental outcomes.Your daily impact:Support design efforts for water, wastewater, and recycled water treatment and conveyance systems.Perform engineering calculations, site layout, hydraulic modeling, and preparation of technical documents.Contribute to the development of construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.Assist with permitting, regulatory compliance, and environmental documentation (e.g., NEPA).Participate in construction administration and occasional fieldwork, including site visits and inspections.Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including municipalities and utility districts.Maintain quality and consistency across technical deliverables while supporting client goals and project timelines.What you bring to the table:Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited program.Minimum of two (2) years of relevant engineering experience in water, wastewater, or recycled water infrastructure.EIT certification is required; PE licensure or the ability to obtain it within one year is strongly preferred.Familiarity with Utah DEQ/DWQ standards and permitting processes is advantageous.Knowledge of hydraulics, treatment processes, and site civil design principles.Experience with software tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a strong attention to detail.Willingness to travel for project meetings, fieldwork, and construction support, particularly within Utah.Unlock Your Benefits Potential:Paid Time Off : Eight paid holidays annually, with paid time off (PTO) accrual based on role.401K Retirement Plan : Company match of 100% on the first 6% of your salary, with immediate eligibility.Health Insurance : Fully covered for employee-only plans, with the company contributing significantly towards family coverage.Dental and Vision Insurance : Fully covered for employees, with affordable options for family coverage.Life and Disability Insurance : Provided at no cost.Additional Benefits : Health Care Flexible Spending Account, Adoption Assistance, Employee Assistance Program, and Commuter Benefits.Water Works Engineers fosters a supportive environment where your contributions are valued, and your career can thrive.Rewards for Your Expertise:Competitive salary commensurate with experience (contact HR for location-specific details).Employees may be eligible for bonuses based on individual and company performance.
