About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in critical care nursing License: Valid State License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Experience in caring for ventilated patients Experience in continuous IV sedation and ICP monitoring Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage them Experience in procedural sedation administration and monitoring Skilled in starting and maintaining IVs Description: Surge unit staffing requires nurses to float between ICU, Telemetry, and Med-Surg. Personnel are not permitted to have facial hair, acrylic nails, or unnatural hair color. Tattoos must be covered, and visible body piercings, including facial or nose rings, are not allowed. Personnel are not permitted to wear earrings that extend beyond the earlobe or hoop earrings. Nurses are needed who are versed in a combination of stroke/neuro, cardiac (including Cath Lab and open heart), trauma, and general diagnoses. Candidates must be flexible and capable of floating between various units as needed. Strong procedural skills and critical thinking abilities are essential. The staffing environment is fast-paced, requiring readiness to adapt and respond to complex patient needs.
