Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for NICU Nurses!

Job Description:
- Shift: 12-Hour Nights
- Schedule: 6-9 weekend shifts within a dynamic 6-week rotation
- Floating: Potential to float to St. Anthony North if low census or need arises

Unit Highlights:
- Unit Type: NICU/Nursery - Level 2
- Patient Capacity: 6 Beds
- Nurse-Patient Ratios: 1:1 to 3 babies
- Common Patient Diagnoses:
- Hypoglycemia
- IV antibiotics
- Mild respiratory distress
- Phototherapy
- Pre-term babies (learning to bottle feed and gain weight)
- Withdrawn babies from maternal substance use

Role Expectations:
- Attend C-Sections and Vaginal Deliveries (focus on the baby)
- May care for stable post-partum mothers & babies (training provided)

Qualifications:
- Required Certifications: BLS, NRP
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience (prior travel experience preferred)

Scheduling Details:
- Shift Times: 7 PM to 7 AM
- Scheduling: Leadership managed for 6 weeks; flexibility in filling shifts expected
- Time Off: Requests must be submitted before assignment start

Additional Notes:
- Minimum Staffing: 2 RNs or RN and tech
- Charge RN roles available in NICU
- Rare call/standby requirement for low census

Dress Code:
- Provided: Blue hospital scrubs

Orientation:
- Unit-specific orientation: 1-3 shifts with a preceptor

Cancellation Policy:
- Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts for 13-week assignments, 3 shifts for shorter assignments
