Operations Specialist

Role Overview The Operations Specialist provides hands-on support for food and nutrition operations, environmental services, and basic maintenance at a healthcare and human services campus. Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve meals, ensure food safety and quality, maintain sanitation, manage inventory, and document compliance. Support environmental and facility readiness tasks, including cleaning, equipment checks, and minor repairs. Collaborate with team members, vendors, and support staff to deliver safe, accurate, and client-centered services. Assist with campus events, room setups, and operational needs, while monitoring safety hazards and reporting issues. Qualifications & Skills Prior experience in commercial or institutional kitchens preferred; knowledge of food prep, sanitation, and special diets advantageous. Must obtain ServSafe certification within 18 months and maintain food safety training. Ability to support environmental and basic maintenance tasks, work collaboratively, and follow safety protocols. Valid driver's license and background screening required. Additional Requirements Ability to pass physical and background checks, adhere to licensing and safety standards, and support a team-focused, respectful environment.
