Staff PsychologistThe Staff Psychologist is assigned to the Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP) program within the Mental Health service line responsible for:Diagnosing mental disordersConducting psychological and/or neuropsychological assessmentsTreating mental disorders through a variety of modalities and providing adjunctive interventions for treatment of medical disorders - Among the modalities provided are individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapies, and other interventions such as interdisciplinary collaboration to support comprehensive Veteran mental health care.Consulting with medical center staff on a wide variety of patient care issuesBeing involved in program evaluation and/or research activitiesSupporting the psychology internship through either participation in seminars and/or direct supervision of internsAdditional duties include, but are not limited to:Providing a full range of psycho-diagnostic services including assessment and using the most appropriate psychotherapeutic techniques in providing quality careProviding initial behavioral assessments, individual, group, couples, and family psychotherapy, treatment planning, consultation/referral, and crisis intervention for Veterans in the outpatient mental health clinicReviewing Outpatient BHIP Psychology consults for Veteran-identified concerns and goals; receiving, addressing and tracking data within prescribed time limits to appropriately address consultsCommunicating with referring providers, receiving providers, and/or Veterans to ensure timely and thorough collaboration in addressing Veteran mental health concernsProviding clinical supervision to various disciplines and levels of training, including trainees seeking licensure in psychologyProviding leadership guidance and consultation to staff of units to which assignedServing as a consultant to other medical center staff and trainees and assisting in their formulation of the psychological characteristics and appropriate treatment expectations regarding their patientsEffectively collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to support comprehensive Veteran mental health careProviding individual, group, couples and family therapy treatmentsTotal Rewards of a Allied Health Professional *** Recruitment or Relocation incentive may be authorized for eligible, highly qualified candidates! ***Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8a.m. - 4:30p.m. Position includes 3 days at Delco Community Based Outpatient Clinic and 2 days at WNO CBOC.Recruitment/Relocation Incentives (Sign-on Bonus): Might be authorized to highly qualified candidates.Permanent Change of Station (Relocation Assistance): Not AuthorizedEDRP Authorized: Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply for incentive.
