Senior Data Scientist

At Ensitech, we are a custom software development company with more than 19 years of experience delivering high-quality technology solutions. We are seeking a motivated Senior Data Scientist to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced machine learning and AI solutions for complex business challenges. In this role, you will own the full data science lifecycle, from data preparation and experimentation to production deployment and MLOps. You will collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, and business stakeholders to build scalable, production-ready solutions while providing technical leadership, mentoring team members, and driving innovation through applied AI and machine learning initiatives.

What you get to do everyday:

• Design, build, validate, and deploy machine learning models across supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning, transfer learning, and large language model use cases.
• Own the complete data science lifecycle including data preparation, feature engineering, experimentation, model validation, and performance optimization.
• Develop and maintain MLOps processes including model versioning, deployment, monitoring, explainability, and security best practices.
• Design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and leverage distributed processing frameworks to support large-scale analytics and machine learning workloads.
• Serve as a technical lead, driving architecture decisions and ensuring AI solutions integrate seamlessly with client systems and platforms.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, AI/ML, and Software Development teams to deliver scalable, production-ready solutions.
• Facilitate client discovery sessions, technical workshops, and project scoping activities to translate business objectives into actionable AI initiatives.
• Mentor data scientists and analysts through code reviews, technical coaching, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience in Data Science, Applied Machine Learning, or a related analytics discipline.
• 2+ years of experience leading technical workstreams, projects, or client-facing engagements.
• Expert-level SQL skills and strong Python programming experience, including Pandas and NumPy.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning and deep learning frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and Keras.
• Strong foundation in statistics, probability, linear algebra, optimization, and experimental design.
• Experience building data pipelines, developing predictive models, and managing production ML systems.
• Demonstrated experience integrating machine learning solutions into production or customer-facing applications.
• Excellent communication and consulting skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring, coaching, and conducting technical reviews for data science teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with Spark or PySpark for distributed data processing.
• Hands-on experience with cloud AI platforms such as AWS SageMaker or Azure Machine Learning.
• Exposure to large language models (LLMs), Graph Neural Networks (GNNs), CNNs, RNNs, and other modern deep learning architectures.
• Knowledge of data governance, compliance, privacy, and security best practices for AI and analytics solutions.
• Experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience delivering consulting services and leading client-facing data science initiatives.
