As a Director, Supply Chain Programs 1, located in ​Salt Lake City, UT, you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. FT remote work is not available.The Supply Chain Program Director within our Launch and Exploration Division will be the main focal point for the for the entire GEM program, coordinates cross-functionally to ensure that all GSC commitments are met and that appropriate mitigation plans are developed and executed to address any programmatic risks, issues, and/or opportunities related to GSC and the suppliers. Responsible, accountable, and have authority for the operational, efficiency, strategy, planning, and execution for the GEM program.In this job you will:Accountable to the Program Management Office (PMO) for the entire Global Supply Chain (GSC) organization and coordinates cross-functionally to ensure that supply chain commitments are met for 2 programs with an estimated material spend of $1.8B.Program Manager accountable to meet estimate at complete material budget requirements to support the PMO financial commitmentsAccountable for supply chain program execution including material budget, resource planning, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity management, supplier performance, and supply chain issue resolutionDevelops the material strategy and leads the activities for GSC in all phases of the Business Acquisition Process including leading the material estimating process and establishing and negotiating the budget with the PMOEnsure that prior to program execution, all elements of the proposed program(s) plans have complete and accurate schedules, budgets, make/buy plans, and procurement and subcontracts strategiesEnsures mitigation plans are developed and executed to address any programmatic risks related to suppliers or supply chain executionBriefs the PMO and executive management on program status and any necessary action plans to address issues affecting program supply chain cost and schedule performanceLead and drive initiatives to reduce cost and improve efficiencyWork cohesively with leaders in other disciplines such as engineering, operations, quality, and other personnel to manage material performance and ensure delivery of hardware to support production needs within budgetPosition requires on-site presence and travel between three major production facilities in northern UtahBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and 10+ years’ experience in program management, project management, purchasing, or related field - OR - Master's degree and 8+ years' experience in program management, project management, purchasing, or related fieldPrior program or project management experience successfully executing budgets and schedules of significant scope and complexityAbility to work high level strategic initiatives that impact long-term business goals in addition to urgent requirements to support day to day operationsExperience and comfort level working and supporting Earned Value Management requirementsExperience leading the implementation and executing material program plans to meet program objectivesSkilled in developing and implementing risk mitigation strategiesStrong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate feedback in a manner that fosters collaboration, trust, and builds positive relationshipsAbility to mentor and motivate others to meet complex objectivesCompetence to work in an integrated team environment and influence changeSkilled and comfortable communicating and interfacing with high level leadershipKnowledge and experience in government contracting requirements and regulations (e.g. FAR, DFARS, ITAR, etc.)Skill set to work through others to influence change and drive objectivesAbility to travel up to 15% of the timePreferred Qualifications:Master of Business AdministrationCapability to read technical drawings and documentsUnderstanding of hardware, material requirements, and critical suppliers for solid rocket motorsExpertise in supporting complex proposals of significant valueHigh Proficiency working with MRP/ERP systemsAbility to communicate complex technical information internal customersExperience and understanding FAR/DFAR provisions including the requirements necessary to maintain a government approved contractor approved purchasing system (CPSR)Ability to communicate complex technical information to internal and external customersPrimary Level Salary Range: $176,100.00 - $264,100.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
