Position Overview VCPG is seeking a professional, customer-focused Unarmed Corporate Security Officer to help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment at a premier corporate campus in Foster City, California. This position requires maturity, professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to exercise sound judgment while maintaining a visible and approachable security presence. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional customer service while consistently enforcing security policies and responding effectively to incidents and emergencies. Key Responsibilities Conduct routine patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, and surrounding property. Monitor the premises to identify and address potential safety and security concerns. Control access by verifying the identity and authorization of employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors. Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, alarms, and requests for assistance. Prepare accurate, detailed, and timely incident and daily activity reports. Enforce client policies, procedures, and site-specific security protocols. Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a professional and attentive security presence. Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, employees, visitors, vendors, and emergency responders. Promptly report security concerns, unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations through the appropriate chain of command. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of two years of security experience preferred. Corporate security experience strongly preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive in stressful situations. Proficiency with smartphones, email, and electronic incident reporting systems. Ability to work independently, follow established procedures, and exercise sound judgment. Requirements Valid California BSIS Guard Card. Ability to successfully complete required background screening, including California Live Scan. Reliable transportation. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during a 10-hour shift. Ability to regularly climb stairs. Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 35 pounds. Availability to work overtime when required by operational needs. Professional Standards Maintain a clean, professional appearance in accordance with VCPG grooming and uniform standards. Demonstrate integrity, confidentiality, accountability, and professionalism at all times. Maintain punctual and reliable attendance. Produce clear, concise, accurate, and professional written reports with strong attention to detail. Exercise discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.
