Warwick San Francisco is seeking an experienced and results-driven Server at Bota Restaurant and The European – cocktail bar. Bota Tapas & Paella Bar by Union Square is seeking an energetic server that creates a great memorable experience with every interaction.

As an age-old tradition dating back to the early 1800s, Spanish travelers used “BOTA”, or traditional sheep-skinned repositories, to transport and share their wine. The Spaniards historically thrived on the values of sharing and community: two ideals that have buoyantly withstood the test of time. Tailored around these same ideals are Spain’s cuisine and the development of “tapas,” style dining – where individuals share small plates and memories. From Seville to San Francisco, and across the world, our goal is to initiate more memories – this is why and how we operate. Salary:  $19.61/hr+ tips

Schedule:  4:00pm - 10:00pm (Thursday - Saturdays)  **Hours may differ and Management will provide a more accurate hourly schedule.

Certificates Required :   Food Handlers and ABC Alcohol Server Certification highly preferred

**Please note, if you are open to work other areas of the restaurant, we will take it into consideration in an effort to provide more hours as needed. **

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

80%        Take orders, offer specials, and help each diner customize their meals to perfection. Drinks included!

10%        Maintain the cleanliness of the restaurant area through disposing of all waste, clearing and cleaning all glassware/plates and wiping down tables and preparation areas.

10%        Rolling new silverware, organizing tables, and cleaning duties as assigned

Cellphones are strictly prohibited during working hours.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills and abilities.

•    Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

•    Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.   

•    Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. 

•    Must possess basic computational ability.   

•    Must possess basic computer skills.

•    Must have knowledge of and be able to operate all equipment related to the outlet, including, but not limited to, coffee maker and cash terminal.  

•    Must have a strong knowledge of drink preparation and applicable health standards.

•    Knowledge of federal, state and local laws, ordinances and regulations and San Francisco's policy regarding serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated patrons.

Physical Demands 

•    Most work tasks are performed indoors.  Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems.

•    Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to four hours in length.  

•    Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously. 

•    May be required to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 30 pounds.

•    Must have the ability to bend, squat and lift 40 pounds on a regular 

•    Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment
