Age Requirement: 21 years or older Position Summary: The objective of this position is to inspire and promote continuing education and on‑the‑job training. Responsibilities include performing basic repair and preventative maintenance for all HVAC equipment at company‑owned buildings in accordance with applicable codes and safety regulations, under close to moderate supervision. Must have previous training and work history in an HVAC discipline with a mechanical maintenance background. Equipment includes, but is not limited to: Air handlers Package units Chillers Cooling towers Boilers Compressors Pumps Refrigeration and freezer units Knowledge of Tracer Summit System (TRANE) and/or other energy management systems would be helpful. Willingness to learn, be trained and receive instruction based on company‑specific requirements is required. All while promoting and exhibiting World Class Guest Service to Isleta Resort and Casino guests. Assists with preventative maintenance on all HVAC equipment. Tests, maintains, and evaluates equipment performance using instruments such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, pyrometers, and pressure gauges. Performs daily checks, completes assigned work orders and daily duties per Facility Maintenance SOPs. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. Maintains accurate preventive maintenance records. Responds to Security alarm calls as needed. Keeps work area clean and performs housekeeping duties as required. Documents work by completing paperwork on each job, including daily time, progress, and duration in accordance to Facility Maintenance SOPs. Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns. Responds to repair/maintenance calls and performs routine security checks, as assigned by supervisor and the Daily Duty Checklist, in accordance to Facilities Maintenance and Isleta Resort and Casino SOPs and/or Procedures/Policies. Occasionally prepares written materials (e.g., scope of work, work orders, bids, equipment inventory, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written support and/or conveying information. Occasionally performs quality control and inspection duties related to the trade. Familiarization with shop practices, operation and use of equipment, hand and power tools, and materials. Familiarization with safety, workplace, education and understanding of State and local Safety Orders. Familiarization with Blueprint reading, National Electric Code (NEC), Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC), National Fire Protection Association Codes (NFPA), Life Safety Code, and local codes/practices as they pertain to trade. Performs other duties of a similar or related level as necessary or assigned. May be assigned to drive company vehicle on public roads, to and from Isleta Pueblo properties, and/or other destinations, during shift. Accountability and Supervision None Education and Experience High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent required. Graduation from a trade or vocational school HVAC program required. Must have valid EPA card. New Mexico State or Federally issued Journeyman License (trade specific). Required. Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certification Must be able to acquire and maintain Gaming License issued through POIGRA. Must pass a pre‑employment drug test and background investigation. Must have flexible work schedule and be willing to work any days/hours as needed. Must maintain all Isleta Resort and Casino‑wide educational and certification requirements. Must have a valid New Mexico driver’s license with no restrictions and no revocation or suspension in the last 3 years. Driving records will be checked periodically. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to read and write English; prepare records and reports. Ability to operate light and some heavy‑duty equipment; use manual and power tools; perform basic arithmetic. Extensive knowledge of tools, equipment, materials, methods, and practices of assigned trade. Extensive knowledge of State and Federal codes as they pertain to trade. Good knowledge of hazards and safety precautions of the trade. Read, interpret, prepare, draft, and maintain all records, documents, prints, blueprints, and as‑builts required of the trade. Physical Demands and Work Environment Navigate up and down stairs, ladders, crawl spaces, catwalks, and uneven surfaces both inside and outside. Climb ladders up to 40 feet and work at heights up to 27 feet from the floor’s surface. Stand for extended periods of time. Lift objects up to 100–200 pounds with assistance; move and place 50 pounds with assistance; push or pull 50 pounds. Work in all types of weather conditions specific to the region; in small confined areas; in smoke‑filled environments. Exposure to second‑hand smoke, high noise level, extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, bio‑hazards, blood‑borne pathogens, dirt, dust, fumes, and unpleasant odors. May involve dangerous materials and situations requiring extensive safety precautions and PPE. May occasionally deal with angry or hostile individuals.
