POSITION PURPOSE

The Business Analyst Practice Lead is a strategic leadership role responsible for elevating the Business Analyst function across the organization. This role focuses on mentoring and developing analysts, standardizing practices, leading onboarding and training efforts, and ensuring quality through regular audits. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who thrives on building capability and driving consistency in business analysis delivery.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

Leadership & Mentorship

• Provide guidance and support to Business Analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
• Conduct regular mentoring sessions and performance check-ins.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex analysis challenges.

Training & Onboarding

• Design and deliver onboarding programs for new BAs to ensure a strong foundation in tools, processes, and expectations.
• Develop and maintain training materials and facilitate workshops on analysis techniques, stakeholder engagement, and documentation standards.
• Train and onboard newly acquired or partnered technology teams (ITA, HTK, Cooleaf, PRM).

Standards Development & Implementation

• Define and maintain BA methodologies, templates, and best practices aligned with organizational goals.
• Promote consistency in deliverables such as business requirements documents, user stories, and process flows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure standards are practical and scalable.

Auditing & Quality Assurance

• Implement a structured audit process to review BA deliverables for quality, completeness, and adherence to standards.
• Provide feedback and coaching based on audit findings.
• Use audit insights to inform training needs and process improvements.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner with client success managers, product owners, sales engineers, creative team members, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity in requirements.
• Represent the BA practice in strategic planning and cross-functional initiatives.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in an Agile software development environment.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
• Demonstrated ability to interface directly with clients and translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience coaching or mentoring other Business Analysts or team members.
• Experience contributing to the development of standards, templates, or process improvements.
