Emergency Registered Nurse (RN)
We are seeking a qualified Emergency Registered Nurse (RN) with at least one year of nursing experience and proven triage capabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in a Level I or Level II trauma setting and will demonstrate the ability to float to various inpatient units as needed. Flexibility in staffing is essential, and the RN should be adaptable to support the Emergency Treatment Center (ETC) as circumstances require.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform triage assessments and prioritize patient care based on acuity.
- Provide nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
- Float to various inpatient units including Med-Surg, Ortho, Neuro, Mental Health, OB, NICU, PICU, Peds, ICU, and Progressive Care as directed.
- Maintain high standards of patient safety and comfort.
Shift Details
- Schedule: 4 shifts of 12 hours per week, including evening and night shifts.
- Shift Times: 15:00 - 03:30 and 19:00 - 07:30.
- Weekends: Required every other weekend.
Qualifications
- Current Minnesota state nursing license (not a compact state).
- ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
- TNCC certification is mandatory.
- ENPC or PALS certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of emergency nursing experience with triage experience.
- Experience with arterial lines and EPIC electronic medical records is preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of the facility.
- Submit finalized requests for time off (RTO) with application; no RTO permitted in the first week of employment and no more than 10 days of RTO per assignment.
- Expected to meet floating requirements to support departmental needs.
