Warehouse Clerical Clerk
The Warehouse Clerical Clerk is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to warehouse operations. This position maintains accurate inventory and shipping records, processes paperwork and data entry, coordinates with warehouse personnel and carriers, and helps ensure the efficient flow of materials and information throughout the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily data entry for receiving, shipping, inventory, and warehouse transactions.
- Prepare, review, and maintain shipping documents, purchase orders, packing slips, invoices, and other warehouse paperwork.
- Verify quantities, product information, and shipment details for accuracy.
- Enter and update inventory information in warehouse management systems or computer databases.
- Assist with receiving and shipping activities by processing required documentation.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff, drivers, vendors, and other departments regarding shipments and deliveries.
- Track incoming and outgoing shipments and communicate delivery or receiving issues.
- Maintain organized and accurate physical and electronic files.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies involving inventory, orders, shipments, or paperwork.
- Prepare reports and assist with inventory counts and reconciliations.
- Answer phones, respond to emails, and provide general administrative support to the warehouse team.
- Follow company policies and procedures related to safety, security, inventory control, and confidentiality.
- Perform other clerical and warehouse support duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, logistics, or clerical experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office or similar software.
- Strong data-entry and organizational skills.
- Ability to accurately handle paperwork, numbers, and inventory information.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Familiarity with warehouse management or inventory systems is a plus.
