Slitter Operator - 2nd shift

Shifts Available 2nd Shift (Cary Location) 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, M-F Required Skills Must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass our pre‑employment reading and ruler tests. Must have 2+ yrs of experience doing complex mechanical work such as taking cars or machines apart, replacing engines or transmissions, etc. 1+ year of machine operator experience is a PLUS but not required. Ability to be on your feet and stand/walk for the entire shift. Make and interpret measurements with a standard ruler to 1/16 of an inch (must pass a pre‑employment ruler test). Physically fit with no restrictions and the ability to lift up to 65 lbs; push, pull, maneuver very large rolls of materials weighing several hundred pounds with the use of equipment on a daily basis. Must be able to squat, bend, crouch, and kneel. Must tolerate chemicals and occasional strong odors. Previous ISO experience in a manufacturing or light industrial environment preferred. Previous lamination, packaging or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred but not required; we will train. Responsibilities The Slitting Machine Operator slits material to support press, lamination, pouch departments, and Customer rollstock business.
