Role Description The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is a full-time, on-site role based in Tucson, AZ. This role involves conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments, formulating diagnoses, and developing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include prescribing and managing psychiatric medications, providing ongoing mental health care, and coordinating with therapists and other team members to support integrated treatment. The practitioner may participate in care involving Spravato, ketamine, or TMS, and contribute to psychotherapy-informed care and skills-based group support. The role also includes maintaining accurate clinical documentation, practicing evidence-based care, and upholding a welcoming, affirming environment for clients of all genders, sexualities, and relationship styles. Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Mental Health Nursing and Nursing in outpatient or community-based settings. Strong background in Mental Health Care, including assessment, diagnosis, and ongoing treatment for diverse populations. Proficiency in Psychiatric Care, including psychopharmacology, crisis intervention, and collaborative care with mental health professionals. Current, unrestricted Arizona RN and NP licenses, and national board certification in psychiatry/mental health (PMHNP) or equivalent. Commitment to gender-neutral, LGBTQIA+-affirming, and neurodiversity-affirming practice, with cultural humility and trauma-informed care skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain professional boundaries.
