Job Description:The Department of Neurology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Centeris seeking applicants for a full-time Neurocritical Care faculty position for our Boston location. The successful applicant will be appointed at a Harvard Medical School rank commensurate with their level of experience and qualifications.The successful applicant should have strong research interests as well as excellent clinical and teaching skills. Applicants are welcome for both junior and senior faculty ranks. Potential leadership opportunities are available depending on skills and experience level.Job Requirements:MD from an accredited medical schoolBoard-certified or eligible in Neurocritical CareA valid MA medical license or the ability to obtain oneA history of delivering superb clinical care and an interest in teaching residents and medical studentsAbility to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environmentExpertise in clinical or basic research is especially encouragedClinical Responsibilities: 100% clinical effort to include: A minimum of 154 shifts the Neurocritical Care Unit or staffing the Critical Care Consult service. This is equivalent to twenty-two (22) weeks of seven day coverageEducational Responsibilities: Participate in the mentoring and education of residents, fellows and medical students. HMFP physicians have faculty affiliations with Harvard Medical School (HMS) and provide care throughout BILH system and additional hospitals across Massachusetts.Pay Range:$185,000 - $355,000The base pay range reflects what Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations.
