Job Description

Hiring finish carpenters and production workers in Spokane Valley, WA. Will be using power tools and tape measures. Start ASAP. $21-22hr DOE

Join our Research and Development department to support the design and development of innovative molds used in manufacturing fireplace products. This role involves building, repairing, and cleaning molds, as well as performing woodworking tasks like using table saws, hand tools, and trimming component parts. You will be responsible for sanding, scraping parts, preparing for finishing, and pouring rubber into molds.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of new molds for fireplace products.
• Build, repair, and clean molds.
• Perform woodworking tasks, including using table saws and hand tools.
• Trim, sand, and scrape component parts to prepare for finishing.
• Pour rubber into molds.
• Inspect products using a tape measure.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in using a tape measure.
• Experience with table saws and hand/power tools.
• Attention to detail, particularly in maintaining ratios and taking measurements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in cabinet making or woodworking is preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience with blueprints and CAD designs is advantageous.
• Comfortable working in dirty and hot environments.
• Ability to lift 25lbs frequently and up to 75lbs occasionally.

Work Environment

Work within a small R&D team comprising 3-4 people. The environment involves getting dirty, working around mud, rubber, and sawdust. Optional protective gear such as sleeves, gloves, and aprons is provided. Expect high temperatures, with the shop being 15-20 degrees hotter than outside.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane Valley, WA.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
