This Field Based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) role could be an ideal opportunity to explore. As Field Based Medical Science Liaison (MSL), you will be responsible for executing the external engagement strategy aligned to the therapeutic portfolio, as well as implementing the external engagement plan aligned to therapy-area strategies, driving a consistent approach to engagement activities in the field. Responsibilities Identify external experts, professional groups, decision makers, and other key stakeholders in the assigned therapy area or geography in collaboration with medical colleagues and other business partners. Respond compliantly to unsolicited information requests from healthcare professionals regarding licensed or un-licensed medicines and indications; ensure medical information responses are factual, fair, balanced, scientifically rigorous, and compliant with standards, policies, local codes of practice, guidelines, and laws. Disseminate important safety information to the healthcare profession as directed by Medical Affairs or R&D teams; conduct scientific exchange for a medicine that is on-label or consistent with the label to inform and educate HCPs on appropriate use. Deliver scientific presentations to formulary committees and HCPs on documented unsolicited requests. Maintain expertise in the evolving scientific/therapeutic area and in competitor medicines and vaccines. Attend and contribute to regional account planning or training sessions and participate in national and regional scientific/medical meetings to gain the medical voice of the customer on recent data. Support clinical development activities and programs, including GSK and Investigator-sponsored studies; collaborate with R&D staff to improve site performance and provide insights into GSK research interests and field inquiries regarding investigator-sponsored research projects. Conduct individual discussions with steering committee members, advisory boards, and consultants on topics related to work with GSK (e.g., conduct or publication of clinical research sponsored by GSK). Provide scientific training for GSK sales representatives regarding product use and conditions treated, using approved sales training materials; train individual HCPs to speak on behalf of GSK and assist with speaker training events. Partner with matrix colleagues (e.g., sales, marketing, market access) to ensure strategies and business plans are patient- and business-focused, adding value to external experts. Basic Qualifications Pharm.D or Ph.D, DNP, or MD with a medical or clinical focus Two or more years of experience in pharmacology and pharmacotherapy in humans, with practical application in a clinical setting Must live within the specified territory Preferred Qualifications Residency or post-doctoral training in a clinical/pharmaceutical practice setting Pharmaceutical industry experience or medical liaison experience; specific therapeutic area experience is a plus; candidates may be considered for Sr. MSL Clinical experience with direct or indirect decision-making authority for patient care (e.g., direct patient care, treatment protocol development, drug therapy guidelines development) Above-average computer literacy, including experience with software applications Skills Digital fluency Enterprise thinking External stakeholder management High-impact communication Patient impact Note: For more information about benefits, please review GSK US Benefits Summary.
