Position Overview:
We are seeking a friendly, compassionate, and organized Front Desk Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet parents and their companions, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth front desk operations at our busy pet resort. Your love of animals, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment will help create a welcoming and positive experience for every guest.

Responsibilities:

• Greet pet parents and their furry family members with warmth and professionalism.
• Answer phones and emails, schedule appointments, and provide detailed info about our services.
• Check pets in and out for boarding, daycare, grooming, and other services.
• Accurately manage customer and pet records in our system.
• Collect payments and handle basic administrative tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service with empathy and efficiency.
• Communicate with team members across departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Occasionally assist with light animal handling during check-in/out.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a customer service, receptionist, or front desk role preferred.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional, calm, and positive under pressure.
• Passion for animals and commitment to excellent service.
• Ability to work as part of a team—and love it!
• Familiarity with pet care, veterinary, or grooming services a plus.
• Must be computer-literate and able to quickly learn scheduling and POS systems.

Physical Requirements:
This role involves a mix of front desk duties and occasional hands-on tasks around the facility. Applicants should be comfortable with the following:

• Lifting and carrying pet food, small animals in carriers, and other items
• Standing, walking short distances repeatedly, performing light cleaning, and organizing throughout the day
• Operating a computer, phone system, and other office equipment for extended periods.
