This role focuses on accurately tracking inventory, preparing parts for shipment, and supporting shipping and receiving activities in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will handle materials, perform data entry, and use warehouse equipment and technology to ensure orders are processed correctly and on time.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inventory counts on parts to ensure accurate stock levels.
• Keep detailed and accurate records of parts sent out and received.
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including checking, labeling, and staging materials.
• Perform regular cycle counts to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Use data entry skills to update inventory systems and maintain accurate records.
• Pick and pack parts and materials according to order requirements.
• Handle materials safely and efficiently, including loading and unloading as needed.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in a safe and compliant manner.
• Use RF scanners to locate, track, and confirm parts and materials.
• Package products securely to prevent damage during transportation.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Essential Skills

• Experience with cycle counting and inventory control.
• Ability to perform accurate data entry for inventory and order records.
• Proficiency in picking and packing materials in a warehouse environment.
• Experience with material handling and warehouse operations.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely (where licensing or certification is required by local regulations).
• Familiarity with RF scanners for tracking and confirming inventory.
• Basic computer skills for using inventory and warehouse management systems.
• Ability to follow established procedures and work with a high level of accuracy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience in shipping and receiving is beneficial.
• Experience with packaging processes and materials is an advantage.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented warehouse environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Work Environment

This position is based in a warehouse environment where you will handle parts and materials throughout the day. You will regularly use equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners and work with computer-based inventory systems. The role involves standing, walking, and lifting as part of daily tasks, as well as working around shipping and receiving areas where goods are picked, packed, and prepared for shipment. Appropriate work attire suitable for a warehouse and material handling setting is required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Portland, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
