Principal Product Manager

One Call

Description & Requirements Join Our Team and Make a Difference! Are you looking for an impactful role where you finish the workday knowing you helped someone? Whether you are part of our care coordination team or play a supporting role, the work our colleagues do every day enables us to collectively reach our mission of getting people the care they need when they need it. By staying committed to our core values of Think Big, Go Fast, Deliver Awe, Win Together and Care Deeply,we can positively impact the lives of the injured workers we serve and get them back to the things that matter most in life. Salary Range: This compensation range considers a wide range of factors, including, but not limited to, skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate is not adjusted for geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled. At One Call, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. What We Provide in Return for Your Commitment to Our Mission We offer a vast array of benefits to help support the whole you, including: Remote Work: We are a remote-first company, and almost all positions receive the flexibility of working from home. Generous Time Off: Besides 8 company holidays and 2 personal days every year, all colleagues receive a minimum of 18 days of paid time off. Comprehensive Benefits Package: Including medical, dental, vision, and pet insurance; 401(k) matching program; and company-paid life insurance and short and long-term disability coverage. Supportive Services: Just like our colleagues get injured workers the care they need when they need it, we want to do the same for our colleagues in their time of need. We offer a Colleague Assistance Program that provides free counseling and financial services, and our One Call Foundation, a non-profit arm of our company, provides colleagues financial assistance during times of unexpected hardships. JOB SUMMARY: The Principal Product Manager is a senior product leadership role accountable for driving multi-vertical platform strategy at One Call and translating it into measurable enterprise value. This role owns a portfolio that spans multiple lines of business (e.g., Physical Therapy, Diagnostics, Home Health) and unifies them under a cohesive vision for critical customer and operational journeys. The Principal Product Manager leads through influence and direct / indirect leadership of Senior/Staff/Associate PMs, partnering with Engineering, Design, Operations, Data/Analytics, and Commercial functions to deliver scalable automation, integration, and market expansion. Success is defined by accelerated revenue growth, substantial efficiency gains via elimination of manual entry across front- and back-office workflows, and diversification into adjacent verticals-prioritizing viability and time-to-impact. Principal Product Managers are expected to lead product initiatives from ideation, story creation, delivery, launch and iteration, balancing customer needs, technical feasibility, and time to impact. They work closely with engineering, design, operations, and other stakeholders, to understand the business processes, underlying technologies and business objectives in order to build products that are intuitive, scalable, and aligned with company goals. This role requires a strong mix of strategic thinking, user empathy, technical fluency, and excellence. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Product Strategy: Develop and communicate a compelling product vision and strategy aligned with business goals, customer needs and quantified impacts with little guidance and direction from VP of Product. Understand Customer Needs: Conducts user research, analyze data, and gather feedback to identify pain points and opportunities across tools, processes, and experiences; collaborate with key customers to identify emerging needs. Prioritize Features and Roadmap: Create and maintain product roadmaps that balance customer value, technical feasibility, and business impact; partner with other Product Managers to offer subject matter expertise to inform their roadmaps. Write Clear Requirements: Translate business and user needs into detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams. Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and support to ensure successful product development and launch. Delivery & Communications: Own the delivery of the features / initiative on the roadmap, escalating issues and blockers that arise during development, driving updates and expectations management with stakeholders and participating / leading the ceremonies as part of our product development life cycle. Monitor Performance Metrics: Track impact / ROI by defining KPIs to evaluate product success and inform future decisions. Partner on Go-to-Market Strategy: Work with marketing and sales to develop launch plans that resonate with target users and drive adoption. Manage Product Lifecycle: Oversee products from ideation through development, launch, growth, and eventual sunset if needed. Champion the User Experience: Advocate for intuitive, delightful, and accessible product experiences by partnering with user experience, conducting user research & surveys and driving rapid prototyping feedback sessions with the people using your products. Adapt and Iterate: Continuously refine products based on feedback, performance data, and market trends to stay competitive. Leadership: You may also lead or partner with other Product Managers if the scope of the role and/or product area warrant it. EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) or business-related field, or equivalent education, training and relevant work experience. 10+ years of experience in product management, preferably in a technology or SaaS environment. Proven track record of managing successful products from concept to launch. Experience working with cross-functional teams in Agile environments. Familiarity with modern product management tools and practices. ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Strong understanding of product development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Lean). Excellent communication and storytelling skills, both written and verbal. Ability to synthesize customer insights, market data, and business goals into actionable product strategies. Strong prioritization and decision-making skills in fast-paced environments. Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Figma, and analytics platforms. Demonstrated ability to use data to inform decisions and measure outcomes. Passion for solving customer problems and delivering high-impact solutions. Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Embody core values such as Think Big, Go Fast, Deliver Awe, and Win Together. PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position will be performed in the colleague's home. Work-from-home requirements include the colleague's ability to set up computer equipment within their home office. This job is primarily sedentary and may involve repetitive motions; the colleague must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time, operate a computer and other office equipment, assess information and files stored electronically, and converse/exchange accurate info with others, simultaneously. The colleague must be able to discern text displayed on a monitor, input data into specific fields using a keyboard, and adjust focus to distances of up to three feet. The colleague must have the ability to learn new tasks, follow established processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, complete multiple tasks simultaneously, communicate professionally with colleagues and customers, and complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity requirement. The colleague must be able to manage moderate to significant mental stress as a result of, but not limited to, a dynamic and heavy workload. Please be advised that job descriptions typically change over time as business needs, job requirements, and employee skill levels change. As such, One Call retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position at any time.
