Job Description

Safety Manager – Manufacturing

Job Requirements

5+ years of Safety/EHS experience, preferably in manufacturing, metal fabrication, machining, welding, or a similar industrial environment
Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and recordkeeping
Experience managing a manufacturing/industrial safety program
Experience conducting safety inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigations
Experience developing and conducting employee safety training
Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, PPE, Hazard Communication/SDS, forklift safety, and material handling
Experience with environmental compliance, regulatory reporting, hazardous materials, and/or hazardous waste
Ability to work hands-on and spend significant time on the manufacturing floor
Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills
Must be flexible to occasionally support second shift, which begins at 3:30 p.m.

Preferred

OSHA 30-Hour certification
First Aid/CPR certification
Sheet metal, metalworking, or fabrication safety experience
Experience preparing for OSHA, environmental, insurance, or customer audits
