CNC PROGRAMMER

Our client is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join their team! Day shift Monday - Friday schedule. $85,000-95,000/yr The CNC Programmer will be responsible for creating and optimizing CNC programs for complex 5-axis machining centers, milling, and lathe machines. This role blends software-focused programming with hands-on machine setup and operation to ensure precision manufacturing. The programmer will collaborate regularly with design engineers and production teams to align programming outputs with design intent and production requirements using tools like MasterCAM.

 

• Develop and optimize CNC programs for 5-axis machining centers, milling, and lathe machines
• Use MasterCAM and other CAM software to generate accurate tool paths and G-code
• Set up and operate CNC machines to validate and troubleshoot programs
• Collaborate closely with design engineers to interpret blueprints and specifications
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure seamless manufacturing processes
• Maintain documentation of programs and machining processes
• Conduct tests and make adjustments to optimize efficiency and product quality

• 5+ years in CNC programming
• Proficient in G-code programming
• Expertise with CAM software, especially MasterCAM
• Experience in CNC machine operation and setup
• Blueprint reading skills
