Part‑time – 24 hours a week Days and evenings Benefits eligible Overview Memorial Hospital Belleville is an acute‐care hospital offering medical and surgical services plus critical and emergency care, including children’s emergency services. It provides patients a full complement of diagnostic and treatment services, heart and vascular care, and has been accredited as a Chest Pain Center, an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital, and a Lung Cancer Screening Center. The hospital has been designated Magnet by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Role Purpose Performs patient meal service for the Department of Food and Nutrition. Responsibilities include patient meal service on assigned units, menu selections, tray assembly, catering rounds, tray delivery and retrieval, recording intake and calorie counts, special requests, galley and floor stock maintenance, and nourishment delivery. Communicates directly with nursing to obtain updated diet orders and responds to patient, family and nursing needs. Responsibilities Delivers patient meals to assigned areas, documents meals and calorie intake, and rounds on patients according to department expectations. Assembles meal trays and menus in accordance with guidelines. Communicates patient diets, meal delivery, and special requests with the patient care team. Maintains an organized and stocked galley.
