RN Medical / Surgical

We are a 409-bed hospital located in Birmingham, Alabama. Our faith-based ministry allows you to provide holistic care for your patients. The RN positions within our organization are 3 12 hour shifts per week, with every other weekend required. Holiday rotation will be required. We have 4 Medical Units that we are working to fill these positions for. Our typical nurse patient ratio at night is 1:6. There are patient care techs to assist with patient care. All medical floors have remote monitoring capabilities, with a Centralized Monitoring Room that monitors these patients. Every other weekend required Minimum of 1 Summer Holiday required BCLS required

Roles & Responsibilities

Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
