What Youll Do

• Lead, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs.
• Act as a visible safety leader, fostering a proactive safety culture and integrating safety into daily work planning.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable OSHA, MSHA, federal, state, and local regulations.
• Partner with operational teams to identify risks, implement controls, and provide field-based guidance.
• Conduct incident investigations, root cause analyses, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage required safety records, documentation, and represent the organization during regulatory inspections.
• Coordinate and deliver safety training programs and facilitate employee engagement activities.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development for safety staff as applicable.

What Were Looking For

• Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university in safety, environmental, engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive safety experience in industrial, construction, manufacturing, or materials environments.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA 1910, OSHA 1926, and/or MSHA regulations.
• Proven experience partnering directly with operations in a multi-site environment.
• Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and build strong relationships with operational leaders.
• Excellent communication skills to engage frontline employees and senior leadership.
• Practical, solutions-oriented approach with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across different sites and lines of business.
• Willingness to travel regularly to multiple work sites and work flexible hours, including nights or weekends.
