Nuclear Medicine TechnologistThis is a 13-week contract position.Monday to Friday with varying shifts of either 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM. No weekends, no call, and no holidays.The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will review patient history and physician's orders, and educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure patient understanding and cooperation. The technologist will position patients and perform imaging procedures while ensuring proper imaging techniques tailored to the patient's age and ability to comprehend the procedure. Responsibilities include:Perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapy in compliance with scope and standards of practice.Analyze imaging results and address any issues regarding image quality.Enter, transmit, and report scan results accurately.Order, prepare, administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.Continuously monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status.Maintain inventory of supplies in the Clinical Nuclear Medicine rooms.Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:CT certification and PET/CT experience.ARRT CT certification.Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) certified in Nuclear Medicine (NM) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).New York State (NYS) License.BLS certification from the American Heart Association.Minimum of 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine.At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
