Work Schedule: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Position Eligible for Sign On Bonus

Summary: Assists in operations, under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains sterile operative fields
• Maintains inventory of medical supplies or equipment
• Assists healthcare practitioners during surgery
• Positions patients for treatment or examination
• Protects patients or staff members using safety equipment
• Orients new staff to unit and specific specialty
• Provides two Inservice Education offerings yearly
• Cross trained to another department (including expertise in more than one service)
• Maintains a safe environment complying with Northern Light Health policies and procedures; reports and directly addresses environmental hazards and violations of patient safety policy and/or protocol when involved or observed
• May perform other duties upon request

Other Information:

• Certification required or LPN with surgical tech experience.
• BLS certification is to be obtained prior to independently caring for patients and is to be kept current.
