Senior Software Engineer Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in New York NY. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.

This individual will be a member of a team working on mission-critical projects for the Capital Market business. The role is responsible for participating in the technical design of all aspects of software solutions including both in-house and external applications and assisting in the technical vision and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will provide technical expertise for the development environment technology architecture and implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the technical design of all aspects of software solutions for the Capital Market business
• Assist in the technical vision and strategic planning of software solutions
• Provide technical expertise for the development environment technology architecture and implementation
• Work with business users and analysts to ensure applications meet specifications and requirements
• Interact with the larger development team to share designs and solutions

Requirements:

• 10 years of professional work experience
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a similar engineering field or equivalent experience
• Well-versed in C#/.Net and/or C
• Solid knowledge in computer science math and proficient coding skills
• Familiarity with the design and implementation of data/message transfer and processing
• Excellent communication skills a good teamwork and a strong work ethic
• Maturity to solve problems directly and independently

Desired skills:

• Familiarity with Fixed Income is a big plus
• An active interest in other computing technology and tools

Pay range up to: $83.67per hour
