What you will have an opportunity to do:

Mission of the Role:

The Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms.

Essential Job Functions:

Cleans and returns vacant dirty rooms to a clean status. Cleaning includes: light fixtures, ceilings and vents, walls, furniture, windows and window coverings, floors and carpets, changing linens and replenishing amenities.

Stay over service to be completed for all rooms daily.

Keep cart stocked and organized.

Assist with special cleaning projects and with laundry as needed.

Communicate maintenance needs.

Ability to interact with guests in a friendly, courteous and helpful manner. Report any guest complaints to a supervisor immediately.

The timely report of and return of lost and found items for processing.

Follow all key control procedures.

Performs all other duties as deemed necessary by management.

Requirements:

Housekeeping experience desirable

Neat, pleasant personality

Time management skills

Ability to work on feet for an extended period

Ability to communicate effectively

Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions.

Ability to move, traverse, position self to reach corners on floors and high places; observe conditions, detect odors, position and navigate carts weighing up to 50 lbs in tight spaces; operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads and dusters.

Lift, carry and position loads of at least 25lbs.
