IT Support Technician

Overview

We are seeking a customer-focused IT Support Technician to provide both Level 1 and Level 2 technical support in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting a variety of technical issues, delivering excellent customer service, and expanding their technical skillset through hands-on experience and project involvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide end-user support for hardware, software, account access, and peripheral devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to user accounts, permissions, printing, and network-connected devices.
• Respond to, document, and manage support requests through a ticketing system.
• Diagnose and resolve desktop and workstation issues in a timely manner.
• Escalate complex issues when necessary while maintaining clear communication with users and stakeholders.
• Assist with onboarding, device deployment, and general IT operations support.
• Participate in IT projects and improvement initiatives as assigned.
• Maintain accurate documentation of support activities, procedures, and resolutions.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while supporting employees across the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience providing Level 1 and Level 2 technical support in a help desk or desktop support environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, operating systems, and common business applications.
• Experience supporting user accounts, access permissions, and endpoint devices.
• Familiarity with desktop administration, system support, and IT service management processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with all levels of the organization.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn new technologies and processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

• Approximately 90% end-user support and ticket resolution.
• Approximately 10% participation in IT projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Opelika, AL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Opelika,AL.
