RN Weekend Supervisor

Join Our Amazing Team!We are searching for a Professional and Compassionate Weekend Supervisor, RN who can supervise the day-to-day Nursing activities accomplished by the Nursing Services staff on weekends, and provide direct nursing care to the residents, in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing Services (ADON) to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.Supervisory FunctionsOversee day-to-day functions of the Nursing Services staff, Charge Nurses, CNAs and CMAs and ensure their work is aligned in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facilityEnsure staff complies with the procedures and protocols set forth in the Nursing Services Procedures ManualEnsure staff achieves the functions outlined in their respective job descriptionsMake written and verbal reports/recommendations concerning the activities of your shiftCooperate with other resident services when coordinating Nursing Services to ensure the Resident’s total regimen of care is maintainedInterpret Department’s Policies and Procedures to the staff, residents, visitors and government agenciesEquipmentMaintain list(s) of equipment repairs or needs required for resident careRecommend to the Charge Nurse/Nurse Supervisor the equipment and supply needs of your unit/shiftEnsure that appropriate safety data sheets (SDSs) are on file for hazardous chemicals used in the Nursing Services departmentParticipate in the development and implementation of the procedures for the safe operation of all Nursing Services equipmentEducationRequired | Texas Registered Nursing degree from an accredited college or universityExperience | Skills | KnowledgeRequiredUp to two years as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related health care facility preferredTraining in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practicesDemonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents servedBe a supportive Team Member | Contribute to and be an example of Team work and conceptMake independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actionDeal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general publicAbility and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnelDemonstrate patience, tact, cheerful disposition, enthusiasm and have the capability and soft skills to handle difficult residentsSeek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practicesRelate information concerning a resident’s conditionsNot pose a direct threat to the health and safety of other individuals in the workplacePriority Management Group, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived race, creed, color, religion, alienage or national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, disability or handicap, sex, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information, arrest record, or any other characteristic protected by applicable Federal, State or Local laws.
