Manufacturing Technician - Plastics

Shift 1st Shift: 7am - 430pm, M-F Additional Overtime Available As Business Requires Compensation $16 per hour Purpose of Role Mfg Tech - Plastics are responsible for working in production with consistent speed and accuracy while maintaining production standards and work towards improving productivity without compromising quality. Essential Job Functions Pours Urethane into molds and lines different pump parts Operates and maintains machinery and production line equipment Maintains a clean workstation and production floor Follows production guidelines and specifications Finalizes and packages products for shipment Monitors the production line and removes faulty products Participates in ongoing on‑the‑job training to adhere to company policies Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Pulls and puts away molds and cores based on manufacturing needs Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture Requirements Troubleshoot Molding Problems Ability to accurately read a tape measure Able to use basic hand tools, such as wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, etc. Ability to work as a team as well as being self‑directed Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and manage time effectively Required Physical Demands Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted Physical capability to properly handle tooling and safely set up large pieces; including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products Must be able to stand, sit and bend for long periods of time Work Environment Manufacturing environment: loud noise levels, high temperatures, dirt and sand Required PPE: steel‑toed shoes, safety glasses, dust masks, and/or respirators EEO Statement Weir is committed to an inclusive and diverse workplace.
