About the Position

Job Title: Intensive Care / Coronary Nurse (ICU), Step Down Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care / Coronary Nurse (ICU), Step Down, Telemetry Med/Surg, Telemetry Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Current state nursing license Certifications: CPR, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: ICU experience, extensive Cardiac experience, willingness to float to Medical Surgical if needed Description: We are seeking an experienced RN for our units. Candidates must have ICU experience. Candidates must be willing to float down to Medical Surgical if needed. Extensive cardiac experience is required. The candidate must have a current nursing license and relevant certifications. The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification is required. The RN will utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. The RN will administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, and standards of care. Documentation must be completed according to standards of care. The RN will develop, initiate, and execute a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by the physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction. Participation in department or unit performance improvement activities may be required. The RN will utilize clinical expertise to guide other units/departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care. Critical thinking must be applied regarding patient safety and patient experience, escalating issues to the appropriate chain of command as necessary. Holiday coverage is required.
