Public Trust Linux Administrator

Supporting the National Institutes of Health, the full-time remote Linux System Administrator will administer and optimize enterprise Linux operating systems while ensuring security and compliance in a highly regulated environment. Key responsibilities Administer, configure, and maintain enterprise Linux operating systems including RHEL, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu, and Oracle Linux Implement security architecture and Zero Trust principles to maintain secure Linux server environments Develop automation solutions using Bash, Python, Ansible, or similar tools to enhance operational efficiency Required qualifications Public Trust Clearance or ability to obtain one B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field 5+ years of experience administering enterprise Linux environments Experience with enterprise infrastructure engineering, automation, virtualization, and cloud technologies Preferred certifications: RHCSA, RHCE, CompTIA Security+, Linux+, GCUX, or CISSP
