Position Overview - CDL Class B Driver (Templeton, MA)We are thrilled to present an opening for a CDL Class B Driver within our Commercial team. This position involves operating our bulk trucks (Mobile Manufacturing Units) and installing blasting products for clients at local construction sites, mines, and quarries. You will also be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the equipment.
This hybrid role comprises approximately 40% driving and 60% physical tasks related to the installation of blasting products. Key responsibilities include:
- Loading products and driving a Class B CDL truck
- Pulling hoses and operating control systems of manufacturing units
- Climbing on and off the bulk truck in various weather conditions
- Delivering high-quality service of bulk explosives to customers while ensuring safety and environmental responsibility
- Monday to Friday
- Local driving (1-3 hours)
- Early morning starts between 3 AM and 5 AM
- Approximately 10-12 hours of work per day
- Overtime may be required
- Up to 10% overnight travel may be necessary
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking and filling fluid levels
- Safely hook up and unhook trailers
- Drive emulsion tanker trucks and box trucks
- Ensure proper handling, usage, and storage of raw materials and hazardous goods
- Minimize environmental impact through waste control
- Report any unusual incidents or accidents immediately
- Engage in daily toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings
- Minimum of one year of experience in driving and/or handling materials is preferred
- Familiarity with DOT regulations is required
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Attention to detail and basic math skills for daily inventory management
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to enhance efficiency
- Work environment includes outdoor conditions in various weather
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and carry over 50 pounds of products or materials
- Capable of loading products, pulling large hoses, filling holes, and climbing on/off the truck
- Frequent shoveling of gravel to fill drilled holes throughout the day
- Engage in pushing/pulling while working with equipment
- Regular bending and squatting required
- Must possess a Class B CDL; Class A is a plus
- Tanker endorsement is preferred
- Hazmat endorsement is preferred
- Support for obtaining endorsements will be provided
- High School diploma or equivalent is required

Compensation- Hourly Pay Range: $28-34
- Signing Bonus: $4,500
- (Salary will be determined based on the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market alignment.)
