NURSE PRACTITIONER - PMHNP

Responsibilities San Marcos Treatment Center is a 212-bed, seclusion-free psychiatric residential treatment facility located between Austin and San Antonio, Texas. The center provides 24-hour psychiatric care to girls and boys ages 6–17 with customized therapeutic approaches and intensive behavioral programs. Act as a PMHNP in collaboration with and under the direction of a physician licensed in Texas. Perform health & physical examinations per hospital guidelines. Assist physicians in patient care and treatment within licensure guidelines. Provide consultation as needed per hospital guidelines. Provide coverage as needed for psychiatrists. Work on rotating weekdays and weekends on-call schedule. Qualifications Licensed RN and Certified Registered PMHNP, meeting all Texas state requirements. At least 3 years nursing experience with a minimum of 1 year psychiatric nursing experience. Demonstrated background, experience, training, competence, and adherence to the ethics of the profession.
