A skilled Pharmacist is needed for an outpatient pharmacy associated with a hospital in Willits, CA. This contract role offers day shift hours and a 16-week duration with the possibility of extension. The position involves dispensing and verifying prescriptions, providing oversight to pharmacy technicians, and counseling patients on both prescription and over-the-counter medications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and verify prescription medications in compliance with regulations
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth pharmacy operations
• Provide patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, and interactions
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient and pharmacy records
• Utilize Cerner pharmacy information systems for documentation and workflow management

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid California pharmacist license
• Experience in retail or outpatient pharmacy settings preferred
• Strong knowledge of prescription medications and OTC products
• Excellent communication skills for effective patient counseling
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
