A 13-week contract opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacist to support a 20-bed suburban medical center in the Tucson area. This role is ideal for professionals seeking to contribute to a respected acute care facility with a focus on diverse, high-acuity patient populations.

Schedule:

• Day shifts, Monday through Friday

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure safe, accurate, and efficient distribution of medications in compliance with state, federal, DEA regulations, and hospital policies.
• Collaborate closely with physicians on drug selection and dosing.
• Provide education to nursing staff, patients, and physicians on medication use.
• Lead Medication Safety initiatives and manage patient profiles to prevent adverse drug reactions.
• Prepare IV admixtures and nutritional supplements.
• Maintain strict narcotic accountability.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years hospital pharmacy experience.
• Proven expertise in a high-acuity acute care setting.
• Experience working in NICU and managing cardiac cases involving devices such as Impella and ECMO.
• Strong knowledge of TJC standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
