Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab RN with 2+ years of Cath Lab and/or Interventional Radiology experience for an Interventional Services position requiring a Maine or compact RN license.

Details

• Interventional Services unit with 5 bays and 1 procedure room
• Cares for inpatient, outpatient, and ED patient populations
• Performs cardiac catheterizations, angiograms, and IR procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, and nephrostomy tube placement
• Administers and monitors sedation, including recovery of sedation and arterial access patients
• Works as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Uses Cerner charting system and Pyxis medication dispensing system
• Day shift schedule from 7:30AM-4:00PM, 40 hours per week
• Weekend rotation required once per month
• On-call requirement of one night per week from 4pm-6pm plus rotating weekends
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active RN license, Maine or Compact required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Cath Lab and/or Interventional Radiology
• Experience administering sedation and recovering sedation and arterial access patients
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary team

• RN supervisor provides oversight and support on the unit
• Orientation length is dependent on experience level
• Holiday coverage expectations to be discussed during interview
• Procedural scrubs are provided

• RTO requires manager approval
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates must not have prior permanent employment history with the health system
• Candidates must reside 100+ miles South/Southwest of the facility to be eligible for consideration
• Flu vaccination required for clearance to start, with only medical exemptions accepted
