Seeking Bookkeeper for a growing 11‑lawyer, 25‑person firm. Firm requires a well‑organized and detail‑oriented individual to perform the billing and accounting functions of the firm. Strong accounting skills and computer knowledge required plus at least two years’ experience in a law firm or another professional service firm environment. Qualifications At least 2+ years’ experience as a full‑charge bookkeeper/accountant with responsibilities including client billing in a law or professional service firm environment. Successfully completed coursework in accounting. An associate degree in accounting is preferred. Experience with law firm billing or other professional service firm accounting software (e.g., Cosmolex, TABS or similar) as well as QuickBooks and Microsoft Office products. Strong administrative, communication, and organizational skills. Professional appearance and manner. Responsibilities Perform all bookkeeping functions including entry of cash receipts, client costs, billing with accounting systems. Handle cash receipts and disbursements for the IOLTA trust account. Work up and make bank deposits for the firm’s accounts. Handle payroll. Provide all required financial reports to firm administration on a monthly basis. Coordinate with the firm’s outside accountants. Provide general management and oversight of the accounting systems. Handle W‑2 requests and 1099s at year end. #J-18808-Ljbffr
