Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients presenting with acute and critical conditions within a 24/7 Emergency Department. Utilizes the nursing process to assess, prioritize, and deliver high-quality, culturally sensitive care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and triage patients promptly based on clinical history, physical assessment, and chief complaints.
• Administer prescribed treatments, medications, IV fluids, blood transfusions, and monitor ongoing care.
• Operate and oversee specialized medical equipment integral to emergency care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, post-care instructions, and health education.
• Document all patient interactions and treatments accurately and efficiently in medical records.

Qualifications:

• Hold an associate, bachelor's, or higher degree in nursing from an accredited program recognized by the CCNE.
• Pass the NCLEX-RN licensure exam and maintain an active, unrestricted RN license in a U.S. jurisdiction.
• Possess at least two years of professional nursing experience, including one year in Emergency Room settings preferred.
• Obtain or be willing to obtain ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP, and CPR certifications.
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, cultural sensitivity, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
