Job Description Senior Quantity Surveyor This is a Senior Quantity Surveyor role on construction project in South Wales. What the job really involves You will be responsible for the commercial and financial control of a large, complex construction project on day-to-day basis: Managing procurement and tendering for subcontract packages Overseeing contracts (NEC), variations, and final accounts Cost control: analyzing labour, materials, plant costs Working closely with the client’s procurement team Reducing financial risk while maximising project value In simple terms: you’re the person making sure the project stays financially on track while protecting margins. What they’re looking for Our client wants experienced Quantity Surveyor already operating at senior level: Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent Experience on more than £100m projects Background in civil engineering / industrial projects (preferred) Strong knowledge of NEC contracts Experience in construction management environments If you haven’t worked on large-scale infrastructure or major builds, this role may be a stretch.
