About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP/Commercial Lending Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving the company's mission by delivering exceptional service, supporting team development, and ensuring operational excellence. Key responsibilities for this role include interviewing loan applicants, underwriting loans, monitoring loan repayment activities, and developing new business. The VP/Commercial Lending Officer will also be involved in community affairs to enhance the company's visibility and will be expected to comply with all federal and state regulations and risk and compliance obligations. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5-7 years' of experience in commercial lending, credit analysis, or portfolio management within a financial institution. A proven track record in structuring, negotiating, and closing commercial loans, as well as experience in managing a commercial loan portfolio, is essential. The role requires the ability to network effectively, a thorough knowledge of commercial lending criteria, and good interpersonal skills for representing the company and negotiating commercial lending deals. A formalized credit training program and the flexibility to work irregular hours are also necessary. Preferred qualifications include 7-10 years' of commercial lending experience and a background in developing business strategies and managing relationships with high-net-worth individuals and business owners.
