Travel Physical Therapist Assistant - $1,459 per week

Jackson Therapy Partners is seeking a travel Outpatient Physical Therapy Assistant for a travel job in Alexandria, VA. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Physical Therapy Assistant Discipline: Therapy Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities Make a real difference as a travel PTA working in an outpatient clinic in Alexandria, VA. You will work with patients recovering from injuries or illness, helping them move better, feel better, and stay active under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. The assignment follows outpatient protocols and emphasizes patient and employee safety. Minimum Qualifications Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program. Active Virginia State PTA license required to start the assignment. BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required. Experience working in outpatient settings preferred. Familiarity with therapeutic modalities and interventions used in outpatient physical therapy, including gait training, therapeutic exercise, balance and coordination training, and use of modalities such as ultrasound and hot/cold packs. Ability to implement treatment plans and document patient progress per facility policies. Preferred Qualifications Experience with patient education, community re-entry training, and assistive device training. Prior experience following safety protocols for safe patient handling and infection control. Experience collaborating in interdisciplinary teams and participating in quality improvement projects. Assignment Details Shift pattern: 5x8 schedule. Typical daily schedule reported as 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Assignment location: Outpatient clinic in Alexandria, VA.
