Part-Time Banquet Server / Bartender
The City Club of San Francisco — San Francisco, CA
The City Club of San Francisco is seeking professional, dependable Banquet Servers / Bartenders to join our team part-time. Located in downtown San Francisco, our historic private club hosts corporate events, weddings, private celebrations, and member gatherings.
Compensation
San Francisco minimum wage plus service share. Service share is additional to the hourly base rate listed and varies based on events.
Schedule
Part-time, with hours based on event needs. Flexible availability, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends, is required.
Responsibilities
Set up and break down event spaces, including tables, buffets, service stations, and bars.
Provide attentive, welcoming food and beverage service.
Prepare and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages when assigned to bartending duties.
Follow event instructions and coordinate with banquet captains, managers, and kitchen staff.
Maintain clean, organized service areas.
Follow food safety and responsible alcohol service procedures.
Maintain a professional appearance and uphold the club’s service standards.
Qualifications
At least 1 year of banquet, catering, or restaurant service experience; 2 years preferred.
Previous bartending experience required for bartending assignments.
Strong guest service, communication, and teamwork skills.
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to event needs.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and assist with event setup and breakdown.
Current Food Handler and California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certifications, or willingness to obtain them before performing applicable duties.
Completion of required sexual harassment prevention training, or willingness to complete it as part of onboarding.
