About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Engineer / Ontology Senior Consultant to support a government client in designing and delivering data analytics, business intelligence, workflow automation, and AI-enabled solutions.

This role will work closely with business and government stakeholders to translate operational requirements into analytics-ready data models, dashboards, workflow solutions, and mission-support applications that improve decision-making and operational effectiveness.

The position is part of a growing portfolio focused on operational analytics, enterprise reporting, workflow modernization, AI-enabled tools, and Power Platform solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise ontologies, semantic data models, and operational data frameworks .
• Translate business processes, assets, work orders, and performance measures into reusable, analytics-ready data structures.
• Map curated enterprise data products into ontology-driven environments .
• Establish standardized relationships between entities to support analytics, reporting, and operational decision-making.
• Collaborate with business owners, data architects, engineers, and end users to define:
• Data definitions and business rules
• Object hierarchies and relationships
• Metadata standards
• Data governance requirements
• Design, build, and maintain scalable solutions that unify, enrich, and analyze data from multiple sources.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• 3–5+ years of experience in AI, Data, Ontology, Semantic Modeling, or related areas.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise ontologies, semantic data models, or operational data frameworks .
• Experience mapping enterprise data products into ontology-driven environments.
• Experience establishing standardized relationships between entities for analytics and decision-making.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance .
• Comfortable working in person as needed at client or project locations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Palantir Foundry , including:
• Ontology development
• Object modeling
• Workshop applications
• Data materialization
• Pipeline integration
• Operational decision-support use cases
• Experience supporting government or DoD environments .
• Experience in logistics, asset management, facilities management, maintenance operations, or readiness analytics .
• Experience establishing governance processes for ontology lifecycle management, including version control, metadata management, object stewardship, and change control .
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, business intelligence, workflow automation, or AI-enabled applications .

Work Arrangement

• Hybrid
• Client-facing professionals may be expected to work together in person approximately 40–60% of the time , depending on the engagement.
• Candidates should be willing to work at client, company, and/or contractor sites as required.
• Travel: 20–30% or more , depending on client and project requirements.
