RN Duties & Responsibilities:
- RNs will provide an intermediate level of care for patients who are not stable enough for a general medical-surgical floor but do not require the full intensity of an Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
- Patients commonly include those recovering from major surgeries, serious medical conditions such as heart failure, respiratory issues, or infections, or those transitioning out of the ICU after stabilization.
- The PCU is equipped for close monitoring, often including telemetry for cardiac observation, frequent vital sign checks, and rapid response to changes in condition.
- RNs will provide continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring, frequent assessment of patient status, administration of medications and IV therapies, wound care, and pain management.
- Current, valid, and unrestricted CA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
- Minimum of one (1) year of recent Progressive Care nursing experience in a Level 1 Trauma Institution in a metropolitan city with a diverse population.
- AHA BLS Certification
- MAB or CPI
- LA City Fire and Life Safety Card (must be LA City)
- Must complete the LA County Employee Health Clearance before assignment start date
- Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
- Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., . BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements ) .
