Practice Info Acute care hospital located in Southaven, Mississippi Provides a wide range of health care services, including ancillary, cancer, emergency and surgical, heart, neurology, women’s and children’s services First hospital in De Soto County to offer open-heart surgery Anesthesia care team approach with CRNAs, MDs, and surgical team Care team model includes approximately 3 anesthesiologists and 15 CRNAs Responsibilities Case assignments: Regional, Cardiovascular (CV), EP Lab cases, Neurology, Orthopedics, Obstetrics, General, Urology, and Well Peds, Pulmonary (bronchoscopy), Gastroenterology (EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP), Interventional Radiology Pre-anesthesia assessment Obtains and/or verifies patient consent Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition Performance of clinical intervention as needed Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures Compensation Salary: $537K Sign on Incentive: $30K Benefits ~ Generous benefits package, including: Health, life, vision, dental, disability, and AD&D insurance ~ Flexible Spending Accounts / Health Savings Accounts ~401(k) ~ Malpractice insurance coverage ~ Fully paid malpractice insurance coverage ~ Leadership and professional development opportunities Shift & Schedule ~2 weeks on, 1 week off position ~18 weeks of 7a-5p shift or 17.5 weeks of call and 17.5 weeks of day shift Requirements M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine ECFMG and FLEX Completion of approved residency in anesthesia Currently licensed as a physician in Mississippi Board Certification or actively board eligible by the American Board of Anesthesia
